4 quarts and walk away! Remember to put the cap on and start it for about 15 seconds after the 2nd and 3rd quart...if you don't, you'll have a mess and then you'll need the fifth quart! BTW, I use Yamalube 20/50. I rode today in the 95 degree heat and my engine was pretty quiet, as far as Roadies go anyway!
