Bags are FULLY loaded with a variety of things ncluding a laptop and clothes (3 days worth each). Even with a few days of rain, I had packed about twice as much stuff as I needed. It was a learning experence. I pack much lighter now, but it is still hard to find room for my laptop, wireless router and satelite dish. I was thinking of taking a bottle with me on my trip. If you can fit it in yer pack its not a bad idea. I wouldnt say you would "need" it but I put in a couple of ounces about every 3 tanks or so. Seems to help a bit I guess.
