Re:Fully loaded ride 2 Years, 7 Months ago
Here's mine loaded down, I,ve posted pix before, but don't think I've ever went into exactly what I have loaded.
So, here's the Twisted Star loaded down, and ready to leave out at daylight next morning for two week solo trip. I like camping almost as much as riding. I have my load in three layers, so I can take off what I want without unstrapping everything at once. If it's storming, or I'm just lazy, I undo top layer to take into hotel with me. If it's just an over night camp, I'll undo two layers for tent and bed rolls. If I'm going to be someplace a few nights or so, I'll undo all three layers, and use my table and chair also. Contrary to what some may say, I do not carry a kitchen sink with this setup.
I do in my Aspen Classic though.

Inventory:

Top Layer - Small duffle bag on top of tour trunk, which is actually just secured to top trunk rack, so can still get into trunk easy. I have three complete sets of clothes in the small duffle bag. A complete set in a space bag takes up very little room, and small duffle stores three total. If there is any chance of weather that day, I put the duffle in a large zip lock bag. I have a small cooler in front of it, and is secured with a Bungee net that also goes over duffle bag.

Second Layer -I have a self inflating air mattress, a large sleeping bag, and I use these two items as my mattress. I use a light weight fleece sleeping bag to cover with, if it gets cool at night. I also have my tent with this layer. This second layer is the layer that gives me the recliner effect going down the road. Sooo comfortable to kick up feet, and lean shoulders against.
I also have a larger bungee net that streches over this layer. I usually end up having to stick a couple items under it by the end of the trip. Seem to always come back with more than when I started.

Third Layer - Coleman portable camping table, small chair, and a small side table. The small table and chair are the ones walmart has for $5 a piece. Not much to them, but get the job done.

In my left saddlebag i keep my tools, rain gear, air compressor, etc.
In my right saddle bag I keep my small lanterns, Coleman single burner stove, cooking utensils, french coffee press, etc. I try to keep all my flash lights, and lanterns using AA batteries.
Also, I get a lot of my camping supplies from hiking/biking shops.

As far as actual weight, all the camping gear combined, weighs almost 75 lbs. Looks are deceiving, it actually rides better out on a long day loaded down, than when runnin empty.
