Thank god for crash bars. 2 Years, 10 Months ago
I just got home from a close call. I went to see some fourth of july fireworks and on the way home I had a cage come over into my lane and run me into a ditch. I laid the back down on it's right side and the ole lady and I would have been hurt worse but the crash bars and saddlebag guards held up well and kept the bike off of us.
We were only going about 30 mph and at impact with the ditch maybe 5 to 10 mph. Of course the car didn't stop. Thankfully I came out with a sprained ankle and knee and the ole lady has a big bruise on her right leg. I am very thankful because it could have been worse. Be careful out there guys and watch out , ride like your invisible.

Sorry to hear about your mishap Dino. Glad it wasn't worse. That's why we spend money on our bikes, don't just for bling, but for safety too. Ride safe and stay alert.

Unfortunatly it's necessary to ride like everyone in a cage is out to kill you, because many of them are and not even they know which ones are.

I've been there before. Glad you all are ok. Might be a good idea to get the bruise looked at. Would not want a blood clot to break lose and cause a tragic event.
Best regards

Had the same happen to me 6 months after I bought my bike. Fight with the cage a 40 mph I tore his passanger door all up. It bent the Barons crash bar about half an inch. Got away from him never dropped the bike and all that was hurt was the crash bar. I tried to bend it back by driving my Dodge Ram over it. NO deal so I bought a new one I won't ride with out one.

Dang... Glad you and your Missus are okay. Usually, the reason cagers don't stop, is because they've been drinking and know that if they stop, they're in big trouble.

Same thing happened to me 8 years ago. Fortunately I regained control and caught up with the dude in the cage a coupla miles later. Needless to say, I yanked him out and beat the living $hit out of him!

To hear of something like this pisses me off to no end. If I ever witnessed anyone doing something like this and leaving the scene, I would make it a point to catch them and hold them for the law. Citizens arrest. No accounts. Back in the day a cage tried to take out a whole pack of us one night on the highway. Ha, they didn't know we had a cage running chase behind us. When they exited the highway we did too, our chase cage came around and T-boned the sorry SOB's in the front fender and knocked them off in the ditch. That car got beat to shiznit and so did the occupants. I am not recommending that approach, but that was us at the time. We use to have people come around us on the highway and get in front of us and slam on there brakes trying to get us to lay em down. Most of them got the wrath of a bunch of pissed off bikers, some got away. Loser no accounts.
