Neither dealer would give a reason, just say they decided just to stop. They both seem to have less inventory both new and used than ever. Maybe they are getting to ready to fold? They are both huge sq ft buildings with the majority of the space deicated to the clothes and "custom" parts.

Volume is down due to the economy, manufacturing of the Ultra's (not sure about the other lines) was stopped for the second quarter of the year. Whatever 2009's they have is all they'll have, the 2010's come out in a couple weeks though and you should be able to get a good deal on an 09 as they try to get rid of the "old" inventory.

Like Java said, apples and oranges. Kinda like comparing a Cadillac with a Mustang, different ride and purpose. For a cruiser the Roadie can't be beat.

Please direct me to the HD good deal(er) location if a good deal is paying less than full MSRP.

I rented an 06 Ultra this past May and road the PCH. It cornered better than my Roadstar. Anyone who has ridden this route before knows that there are many many curves.
It does not have the torque the Roadie has...I had to abort passing a car twice at 75mph.
But I agree with Javawave...two different designed machines meant to have fun with.
And yes my girlfriend had me at the HD dealer the following week.
I would own one.

I don't own one, but a friend of mine does. We swapped bikes for about a twenty mile ride. It was SWEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTT. It was a little awkward looking through his windshield instead of over it. I will definitely own one for my next bike. You will not regret it.

If it's a 2009 it handles like a bike half it's weight, you can throw it around with ease and tracks like it's on rails. Much better at all speeds than the Roadie and smooth as silk, but that's just my opinion.

I've owned an 09 Ultra Classic for two months now and what RoadieFF says is true.
