hmmm i was on 85 a couple of months ago with 5 or six friends coming back from a CBA ride and 4 or 5 dumb asses went flying past us (we were doing about 75) the norm on 85. they must have been doing 100+ well they got about 1/4 mile in front of us. then one of the fools started doing all these tricks. laying across the seat, riding side saddle, standing on the seat, standing on one foot peg and leaning off the side of the bike and much more he did this for about 10 miles in the middle of 5 o'clock traffic. it was a Saturday and the traffic was still very heavy... i wonder if this was the same fool....

My heart goes out to the familes of riders who were killed due to a traffic accident and the such. But I have no sympathy for these kids with those crotch rockets that race up and down the highways and try to impress people with dumbass tricks. This morning, the radio station was making fun of the situation and laughing at the guy. Why risk your life? I hope it was worth the rush.

It boils down to a lack of respect. He didn't respect the machine, didn't respect his limits, didn't respect the danger, didn't respect the other people sharing the road, and didn't respect himself enough to become a proficient rider. I can't say I have much sympathy for him.

The risk isn't worth the reward but many a young "fools" including myself have done things like this. Luckily most of us live to laugh about it, sadly others don't.

My gerneration thought these idiot's were gods. Riding like that on a public hwy. Not a good idea.

I think Frank_w nailed it... lack of respect for everything including life... I love to watch really fast bikes ( at the track). I love to watch stunt riding at organized displays ( with safey officers).

Gross speeding, stunt riding and tricks on uncontrolled roads is a recipe for disaster.

I did my share of dumbass things when i was younger ( both witha bike and without), and now I know life is but a hair's breadth from death... ( and I have no desire to get there any earlier than required)

I grew up learning to ride street bikes this way. When I first got back form Korea I was 18 and bought my first one. Nothing but stunts, tricks and wrecked bikes for 10 years until I was way too sore to do it anymore. Granted it was always on a track or abandonded air field. I since have switched my bike and riding style. Not two months ago I lost a dear friend to the same situation only his wheelie went head on into a pick up truck. Thoughts and prayers are out to the families involved; as well as his friends and first responders, its never easy dealing with this type of accident no matter how senseless it may be.

No disrespect to anyone . . . but c'mon guys , I see all kinds of posts here about "wanting more power" , we all tweak and fix our bikes as we was gonna be doing 100mph every time we ride , we all got a at least 1600cc motorcycle , why ?? because we like it , because we choose to , a 650cc motorcycle will do exactly what our bike does , but it is our choice to go this route

I am not saying I condone what this "kids" (I have seen people older than me do all kinds of stunts and I am 34) I am just saying that the kid is dead , sure he was a fool and did a stupid . . . no , a very stupid thing , but c'mon guys he is a biker like it or not , all we should be writing is "may he rest in peace"

We all are in danger , sure some push the limit , but if we as bikers don't try to understand or to at least show some some respect for someone's brother , father , son , or dad that just passed away , who can we expect to get this from ??

No parent ever wants to have to bury one of their children, regardless of the reason, yet you know that now this will probably be the case. I have no respect for the kid who did this, not so much for his actions, but for what he's done to others because of his actions. My deepest sympathies to his family for what they are going through.
