Ultimate Passenger seat feedback 3 Years, 8 Months ago
I've read so much on this site about the Ultimate seat, that I'm convinced it's the right way to go for me for the driver. I've seen little feedback for the passenger - a few comments about the Mustang passenger, but little about the Ultimate. My 11 & 12 year old boys are my main passengers - the 11 year old *loves* the strap on the stock seat. Your thoughts?

Thanks,

-=Mike

I've had the Mustang and now have the Ultimate, neither had the strap the OEM back seat has. You could probablly get one added locally. As for comfort, my wife says both are 1000 times better then the stock. If you go with just the driver Ultimate be forewarned you won't be able to get the backrest since it slides into the passenger seat.

My wife loves the seat. I'd bought it mainly so I could have the backrest for me, but now that she's riding with me it's proven to be very comfortable for her. She doesn't mind not having a strap to hang onto.

Wife thought it a great improvement over the stock seat. she like the mustang passenger seat a little better than the Ultimate. but I like the rider ultimate better. So we made a compromise. I bought the ultimate again.

Thanks for the feedback so far. Not sure if I'm interested in the backrest, but since you have to commit to it when ordering the passenger seat, I may end up with it.

There is a few users here that didn't care for the ultimate seat. All riders are different.

Thanks Slyguy - I'll have to dig a little deeper. Every review I read was positive even compared to Corbin and Mustang.

While I dont have the ultimate yet I have ridden one and it was a phenomenal improvement over stock. I am a fairly big guy and I found it to be extremely comfortable. One thing I noticed is that as soon as it was on it felt like I had more control of my bike. Weird I know but it might be due to the way you sit IN the seat not on it. Also I think it shifted me forwards a bit but not too much. Just seemed like an overall good fit for the bike and for me. Now if I could just afford to drop that kind of money lol

I did LOOOOTTTTSSSSS of research and found NOTHING negative about the Ultimate seat so I bought one and it was horrible!! I could barely get 50miles before my butt was numb! compared to my comfort cruise which I can get 120miles or so. My problem is I'm a big guy and right where the logo is on the back of the seat the cushion is thin and it kills my tailbone I tried sitting on the seat every which way to no avail so I sent it back and ate the $50 in shipping (both ways) If you do buy it buy it direct cause you can try it for 14days and send it back if you hate it.

FYI

I have tried 3 seats on my '06 r* including Corbin, and the Ultimate will be the last seat I buy. I love it and my wife loves her passenger seat. I got it without the logo and I think it looks great and the comfort is unmatched.
