1. Ups for the Buffett line
2. How big a ole boy are ya? Cause it does matter especially with the flip and grind. I'm 260ish and with me and the co-pilot on there we constantly bottomed out (with the progressive spring installed)
3. Myself- I'm looking into an air-ride to take care of it.

6'1" and 220. I rarely even put the back seat on, so I am 95% of the time solo riding.

Rich.....I am REALLY toying with this idea now....what brand did you go with?

Jason....I lowered mine using the PCS lowering kit. Dropped it about 2 inches. Still have the stock shock/spring but may upgrade that at some point. I bottom the shock out at times if I hit something too hard. I definitely have changed my riding habits since lowering. Slowing down more for RR tracks, speed bumps and cornering. To me though it's worth the trade off in order to attain the look.

Low and slow is the way to go.

Ha...didn't know I was a poet.

I lowered mine using adjustable dogbones from LA Chopper and progressive spring from Looney Seats.

Pros- Looks cool

Cons- lower to much, you gotta adjust it up. I got mine pretty much perfect... about 1 3/4" lowered

Well 500 wont buy an air ride,...but I have seen a used air ride go for that much,...air ride is deff. the way to go, hands down. You can adjust to whatever terrain or driveway, or ramp that comes ur way,...my two cents.

I have the street boutique air ride, do your research before you buy find out wich air ride will suit you, unless you have the money to blow, wich doesnt sound like you do,..I tell ya it was the best mod I purchsed and the funnest to install, all these guys here helped me tremendously when I did my install,...you wont regret it a bit when you do decide to um...go varsity, and not stay jv. here is a pic of my ride with the street boutique air ride, and the proggressive front fork spring suspension wich u will want to get as well, if you want the right look and right feel on ur ride, just my two cents, the front fork springs will drop the bike two inches, but I am also running a 21 front tire, my humble opinion on the proggressive springs. and yes Tampa's bike gave me the itch to get an air ride too.its a domino effect when you do these mods, air ride for me ended up being an air ride, a bike lift(for the install), and a front suspension kit, way more than I initially wanted to spend, but it gets you quick, and its worth it.

What happens if you lose an air line? Will it put the frame on the pavement or stop short of bottoming out?

Paul:

If you loose the line or snap off a fitting, you'll be riding home in the same position as my signature picture.

Won't bottom out, but it'll be a bumpy ride home...
