Ummmm ... the bike has not brakes Yea .... that's it.

Here you go .... Karma is always good for the hangover.

My daughter has one more game and if we beat Gananoque we're into the finals. The last time we played them, one of their players boarded her from behind and she had to take off 2 weeks 'cause of a sprained neck.

She's looking forward to playing then again

She's also looking forward to the provincials in April in Toronto.

Hi folks.
I go by Cujo. I was intro'd to Roadstars thru a brother of mine.. still ride my American Iron.. but have found I love this metric no matter what anyone else says. Never had to defend my decision.. just never had any criticism to my face except from those I love.. haha.
Glad to have found this board. Just finished a stripped down bobber type midnight.. and having fun tearing up the roads with it. Now I just wish someone would come out with a kicker assembly for it. Gonna put a sprung seat and rigid flat fender/strut on it when I can.

Paradigm\'s suck. Be unexpected and unique; don\'t conform to sheeple mentality. Who wants to be different like everybody else?

Why do I ride American AND Metrics? Cause I can.
Do I get messed with by my brothers? Yes I do.. cause they care.. Hehe

Greetings to all,

Jim McLain here in Orange County, CA

My "forum moniker- Bucardo" is the name of a dirt bike club I started in Big Bear; a Bucardo is an extinct mountain goat, I thought an appropriate name for middle-aged goat trail riders.

My day job is a CEO with a Fortune 1000 company, running one of their subsidiaries. Hold a Juris Doctor and three under-graduate degrees in business, law and engineering (all done in night school, funded largely by the GI Bill).

Been riding for 35 years, on dirt bikes, sport bikes and most recently cruisers. Did a fair amount of drag racing and engine building in the 70s and pit crewed on a AA Fuel Altered called the Yellow Submarine/French Connection.

Really like working on bikes, especially the tuning and electronics. Developed the VOES solution for after market carbs (mostly to help my buddy Jimaray correct his S&S carb'd bike, when my stocker outran him, not anymore). And, Yes, I will document that modification for the library.

Working on a "project bike R*" with Jimaray, stripped to the frame with lots of custom work. Should be done this summer... Also have 5 other bikes.

I'm a lead Road Captain and Trustee for STAR Chapter 230 ( www.star230.com )

I commend Steve for the vision and work on this excellent website

Glad you finally popped into this thread Jim

Thanks for the kudos, it has been a lot of work but well worth it. We now have a few folks on staff who participate regularly in managing the clinic (but always looking for more ).

Someday I am hoping you are going to get tired of explaining the VOES solution and send me an article for the clinic. It would be a great one to have here.

And btw... Thanks for popping in once in a while and assisting here in the forum!

Mountain goat ....

"Juris Doctor and three under-graduate degrees in business, law and engineering"

Hmm ..... another professional student

I love working on bikes also but in my case I enjoy the body work more than the engine work. I like to be able to step back and 'admire' my work.

Hope to see you around more often.

Hello, my name is John Baird and I ride a 2004 Roadstar. I am the Director of the American Legion Riders Chapter 58 here in El Paso, Texas. I am totally sold in the Roadstar and it's character. I've put a little over 17k miles on her in the last year and plan on trying to double that this year. So far the only problems I've had with her is a minor issue with the carb/tuning and losing a clutch around 10k miles.

I've been riding some type of bike since 1975 when I first wrecked (I mean rode) my Honda mini-trail 50. It's been either two, three or four wheels ever since. My daughter and I both enjoy riding our bikes. She is 13 and has a Honda 100cc dirtbike. Of course she has almost figured out a way to tape lights to it so she can ride it to school, but not yet!

I am also in the US Army. I've been in for 16 years, 9 months and 22 days. Not that I'm counting.

It's great to see a website created for Roadstar enthusiasts and I can't wait to get into more of the technical tricks to beef my old girl up a little!

Ride safe,

John "Loco Outlaw" Baird

Welcome John!

And Thank You for serving our country.

17K miles in a year!; you're doing some serious saddle time.

Chime in when you're ready to "un-cork" that Roady. They really come alive after correcting factory emmission tuning.
