Tip over time! 2 Years, 10 Months ago
After my Daughters 21st birthday party Saturday night.. she thought she would help me put stuff away, and when it was time to put the R* away, I heard a HEYYYYYYY OHHHHHHH HELPPPP!!!!! I turned just in time to see her and the R* going over on it side! She was my main concern and once we figured out she was ok, we righted the R* and no harm found! Just a little gravel scuff on the bottom pipe and a readjusted highway peg.. Thank God for engine guards! Well I can no longer say that my Roadie has never been on it's side!! Maybe the Martini's she was drinking, made her think she could move it like a bicycle! She is all of 5'2" and about 110 pounds.. and now a little wiser!!!!

My wife did the same thing a couple weeks ago cleaning out the garage while I was on duty. I gave her instructions on how to find neutral then move it backwards ( don't know what I was thinking there...) to the center of the garage, but of course she moved it all the way outside. When she told me what she did, I said to just lock it and leave it outside and I'd get it in the morning, she's 5'7", 115 and had enough problems getting it outside... with the slope. Well to make the story short, that wasn't good enough and she enlisted the neighbor and his son to pick it back up. I didn't notice anything at first but it actually bent the light bar and left a scuff on the bezel of the right light. Not too bad... I guess... She ended up with a big bruise on her hip, pretty lucky all said and done.

Parked mine next to a really, really nice Harley (the racy one) the other night. It was on a slight incline and I left it in Neutral...Duh

Somebody yelled at me, "Hey, your bike fell over". Luckily, it sits so low, it just leaned and rested on the floorboard brackets. Never touched the other bike...

That Tricky air-ride just saved me the cost of doing the mod...

Wow, you got lucky there.

Hm, maybe I should tell your story to my wife to help justify the cost...

What do they say.....no good deed goes un-punished (both ladies trying to be helpful). Glad both are OK. Bikes can be repaired and replaced (as much as we hate it). This is the stuff memories are made of!

My ex on a 650 v star fell off going through gravel into a parking lot and it just rolled forward and came to rest on the floorboards the only damage to the bike was a little bit of ground off metal on the underside of the floorboards she tore her jeans and got a little bit of road rash. and some say there is no such thing as luck. a bike like ours falling over and not getting damaged is luck. the fact it didn't squish anyone is even luckier for them

These things don't look as heavy as they really are. And moving they really don't look that heavy. Fist time I took the wife to WalMart I almost lost it when I stopped, wasn't used to her weight. A guy in a PU in front of me helped get it up stright as I was still straddle it and she couldn't get of. It never hit the ground but I busted TWO guts holding it up. If they ever get past that one point they are GONE.
