Fake dual exhaust 2 Years, 10 Months ago

This may very well be the stupidest question I've asked here, so be prepared!
I currently have the Roadhouse 2-1 exhaust and would not trade it for anything. I'm of the opinion that any V-twin runs stronger with a 2-1 exhaust. That being said, I love the look of the Roadhouse dual exhaust. Would it be tacky as hell to bolt on a muffler on the left side and give you a "fake" dual exhaust. I'm talking about putting on all of the piping, just not tying it into the headpipe. It would virtually look like a dual exhaust...just the left side would be "dead".
I'm not saying I'm going to do this, just would rather have you guys rake me over the coals before anyone laughs at me in person!
I'm already regretting hitting that Submit button!
Regards....greeny

I'm having trouble imagining how the phony pipe would end... where would you mount it?
But even more justifying the fake duals. However, if it makes you happy, go for it! (just don't tell anyone else it's fake!)

Me personally, I wouldn't do it. But that being said I also am a big fan of the look of the dual tail pipe. In fact that is what I wanted to run on my bike, but with the wife having a say of how the bike looks at the end, I was out voted. (still trying to figure out how that works, there are two of us each with one vote, but I am always out voted. Go figure.)
Do you have any pics of the exhaust on your bike? I am thinking of running the roadhouse classic with serrated heat shields. I would like to find a fishtail tip that fits it, as I am not a big fan of the shark fin or any other tip that roadhouse makes for it.

Thanks Roadie
Those are good looking pipes. Have you ever tried to find tips for for it that are not made by roadhouse?

If you want to do that, have a muffler shop weld a blanking plate inside the crossover pipe(the one that connects to the rear jug header pipe). Mount, and connect the crossover pipe just as you would normally with duals. No one will ever know from looking at it. Be sure to install the blanking plate far enough into the crossover pipe to allow space to push it up on the header pipe for mounting.

I never really looked at other tips, the one on there is the look I wanted. Kinda an old Indian style.

DO YOU KNOW IF THE TIPS JUST SLIDE OVER THAT EXHAUST EXIT? IF SO, DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE O.S. DIAMETER OF THAT EXIT IS?
THANKS

The tips slide into the can not over. I can't tell you the diameter, I don't have the bike anymore.
