As other folks have suggested check the vacuum plug on the manifold (AIS is removed ... right) and then check the rest of the manifold joints (could explain the wonky PMS setting).

.... and yes .... the 40 is very rich.

DocThanks Doc. I examined the manifold,looks good,installed new o-rings,head pipe to head gaskets,and put on a new vacuum cap.If there is an exhaust leak,it must be awfully small,because my smoke test indicated nothing,although this was done at idle. Maybe I should check with revs up? Probably should throw the 35 pilot back in? This is on a low mileage,(10,123),2001.
