Ah, good ole American ingenuit... never mind. Looks pretty secure and frees up both front and rear wheels, where does the oil drain line up and do you have reference marks to hit it the same way?

well, the reason i made it 2 seperate stands [as opposed to one cradle per side] is so i can shift it to and fro depending on what bit of bike i want to remove/work on....... i also had in mind my mates triumph speedmaster, so i needed to make it pretty adjustable to accomodate that too
i was going to make the uprights in 2 pieces [so i could adjust the work height in the same way axle-stands work......] but i chose stability over adjustability on the basis the bikes [well my roady anyways] is soooo dayam heavy

Tusler wrote Item # is 2792 with a coupon it is $60

Got that one. Needs ongoing oiling of the wheels though. Adequate enough to manhandle the R*. Paid about that also on sale.
I like the straddle lift idea.

Thanks for the follow up, but I'm looking for the thread on how to build a lift table or ramp (THE RED THING) as refered to in this thread. I remember a post on home built's w/ photo's (?)
