Well my baby is in the shop. The pinging and clattering i have recently spoke of has come to a head. The engine sounds like a bag of hammers.
The good news is that the oil pressure is good. Turns out the guy I take it to has seen 3 06s with bad oil pumps. So I am ok there.
Does suspect a lifter job but we will see.
I will keep you guys posted

I am thinking that may very well be in my future too. Saving my pennies for the Winter. Hope your back on the road real soon.

Got my bike back today.. Turns out it was only a valve adjustment that needed to be done thankfully. It just sings now. No more clatter.
Asked the mechanic about the possibility of lifter issues he said not likely. They have NEVER had to replace lifters in a Roadie.
