do you want the staggered pipes? or the short shot ones?

to be honest the exile pipes arent so different from regular pipes they are just flat finished

if you got some good slipons that follow the lines of the stock header pipe you could paint them or you could scotchbrite them until they are brushed and they will look like the staggered monster pipes

if you want the short shot ones, vance and hines short shots, or bub stubbies(which i have and love) will do and you can do the same...scotchbrite and flat paint...if you got those pipes custom made im pretty sure itll cost a pretty penny rather than searching ebay and just refinishing

I really like the staggered ones!
I actually plan on wrapping them, except for maybe
the last few inches. A company called "Insight Customs"
just replied to me. The gent told me he could make me a
set of Exile style pipes in raw finish, made for my R*,
for $350.00 I never heard of them before, they are located
in Hebron, Indiana, did you guys ever do business with them?

Slip-ons is an other way to go but how will the whole thing
look once it's wrapped?

Thanks for the reply

as long as you get slipons that are the same diameter as the header they will look great

350 is a decent deal considering most pipes will be up in that range and higher nowadways, plus they can finish them the way you want

Here's what I did. I have the Hard Krome 3" staggerd, the outer pipe is about 2" longer then the baffle. So I measured and marked the outer pipe, took out the baffle and cut the pipe even with the baffle. Now my pipes look 1/2" thick.

I'm not 100% sure which way i will go however
it's very interesting to read what other riders
have to say regarding pipes.

Thanks for the input guys, i appreciate it!

Hey SPUDWRENCH, i think you're right, not too
many people cover their rear pulleys.
