Check these out. Biker's Choice. You choose the rake (for the same price as I paid for just my raked trees)...

My trees are from Looney .... yes, the one that just died ... before he sold the tree business to Raked Cycles.

To confirm everything you guys said ...

If you rake in the tree you reduce the rake making the bike twitchy. You can bring the rake back closer to stock by lowering the back or raising the front (I raised the front ... lengthened the forks).

If you rake the neck you increase the rake making the bike sluggish. You'll need to lengthn the forks.

If you rake the trees and neck about 6 you'll have approx. the stock trail. You'll need to really lengthen the forks.

The Biker's Choice front end looks interesting (that's for R* right ) .... do they have a set with tins or with inverted forks?

Doc:

Biker's Choice has a few for Road Stars.

Here's a smooth 2" over on Cruiser Customizing. $699.00 w/ FREE Shipping and a key chain...

I'd personally like to work with BC directly, so you can get the rake you want. CC might be able to do it for you, also.

Biker's Choice Front End

Now, if we could just get them on here as a Vendor...

Stop rubbing it in with the FREE SHIPPING

We have FREE TRADE but there is no such thing as FREE SHIPPING to Canada.

They look nice and the price is right but I like the fat look.

BTW ... I got the impression that those are not rake but stock trail.

You mean they will take those and rake to your specs?

BTW ... BTW .... we are way

I think we need to change the title of this thread to rake and trail

Now, everything you guys are talking about in terms of trail and handling is very true. In the next post I'm going to show you a picture of the Tricky R* show bike that I'm always talking about. This bike has the neck rake kit and 5 degrees in the trees as well, that with the lowered rear from the air ride (probably changes it about 2 degrees), gives it superb handling.
