My motorcycle taught me that a rich running carb will fill my cylinders full of carbon. And being pissed of about it will make me write things on forums.

My motorcycle taught me that the first wife who SAID she liked to ride, really didn't, and that the SECOND wife, who was too nervous to get on the first time, is the BEST riding partner I could hope for.

I've learned that a little time spent checking tire pressure will make your rubber last longer.

I've realized that ANY day spent on the bike is better than almost ANYTHING else.

...and I've realized that I can do a whole lot more work on this big ol' bike than I ever would have anticipated!

My bike taught me the worst day of riding is still better than the best day at work

My bike just taught me that just because the clymer manual says to fill your oil one way, doesn't mean it not gonna be 26 ounces overfilled and running like poop, 3 months later! http://weislake.com/sig/mucker/2-16-07.pdf. Or it could be gas from running a bit rich.

My bike taught me there is no such thing as too much bling and that bling isn't free.

My bike has taught me to hope for the best, expect the worst and that an ounce of preventative maintenance could be the difference between the two.
