I want to put the bigger yamaha engine guard on my bike, but I have extended my floorboards 3.5". Can I make this work? It looks like I may have to shim it where it bolts to the frame up top?

move my floorboards up 3" with 15 degree tilt using our tech-support.
went with the "hezbak's plan"

went to a yamaha/hd shop in my area, yami big did fit. but also tried
the h-d roadking engine guard it lined right up with the floorboard ext.(no drilling lined right up with floorboard hole i made)
plus i think the h-d bar's looked better on the bike. part # if needed is 49184-97 cost $ 206.99 also if you have the o.e.m. lowers you
can buy the "h-d roadking mustache guard" that also lined up ! cost $ 239.95 part # 49155-05a

notes:1) please note that the h-d guards will be bolted into the floorboard ext. not the frame like the yami bars!!
2) with the roadking guard you could install the h-d hard lower's
later if converting to the ultra-star look!!

3) will need to drill for upper mount of guard,still working on
that idea!! thinking of v bracket instead.
