Hard time finding a sissy bar for my wife. 2 Years, 9 Months ago
Ok here's the deal.

I like the cobra short-round sissy bar, it looks like it would be very comfy for her.

SHE, wants something bigger - and there is a disturbing lack of bars "made for" the R*.

Does anyone know if a V* sissy bar would fit, or know of any company that makes big tall sissy bars that would fit my R*?

Thanks for any help guys!

Drago

Ya, I am with you here. I wanted to get a taller bar, the short one was well way to short. Since I had a OEM setup, that just abt sayes it all, just one to pick from. If you have nothing, you are better off, and you can find quite a number, but they are require their support hardware, they provide, for a charge of course.

Nothing is design to use anyone Else's mounting hardware, that's the long, and short of it

Here's one put out by Star. It's taller than the stock one that came with the R*. I have one and my wife love's it.

Hell yes that would be great - lemme know what you want + shipping - I don't see why the wife won't go for it - she's the one who's afraid of falling off!

Prob should have PM'ed you, but I was excited! Sorry

How about the Yamaha tall sissy bar? I have one and my wife likes it much better than the smaller one. Ken

There's one right around the corner, but she'd probably have to dress like a man in leathers and be up-to-date on interior decorating conversation starters.

(OK, sorry, just in one of those silly word play kinda moods)

I went with the JC Whitney and added a Mustang backrest. I had wanted the flat side arms for a cleaner EZ Bracket look for when I removed the saddlebags. The only mistake I made was ordering the squared tubing instead of the round and the Mrs. complained about it hurting her hands. So, I leather wrapped them with a set of lever covers to solve that problem.
