Yep, the fender trick works like a charm. It's really handy to align your wheel with the fender up too. Just put a yard stick on both sides of the tire and compare to the 2 fender bolt holes. Perfect every time.

DKLAZ you do know about taking those two fender bolts out so you can tilt the rear of the fender up, right?
I jack the rear up about 10 in., flip up the fender and roll the wheel out, sorta.

NOPE....obviously not! It was still a bit of a puzzle. but I got it done. Which 2 bolts???

Take the seat off.

Behind the battery on the A-frame are two bolts running horizontally towards the rear fender.

You probably did more damage to your heart than you did the bike! Wow,there is nothing better than good luck! I hold my breath every time I let my bike down off the jack. It's safe and stable but still gives me a moment of silence when I let her down.

I've got a craftsman jack [Red one] I bought from a guy for $30.00. so far,so good. when I put her up or bring her down I have my wife work the jack and I hold the bike. Scares the crap out of me everytime I do it!

See! Proof that Karma really does remember.

You could have loosened a few teeth from the work idiot, but you let your cooler head prevail and avoided a violent end to the words of a moron. This = Good Karma (we should never take advantage of idiots).

Now, the gremlins that constantly hang on to our bikes wanted to send it crashing down, but the Karma you stored up saved you from what could have been a nasty fall.

Do we really need any more proof that doing the right thing pays off!

I will be buying the J&S Jack this fall for my winter storage. I have the sears yellow, and it's OK, but the J&S for about $100 more is way better!
