My 1981 Honda CM400C was like that - same signals, same dash, same frustrating lack of power... lol. It was a great bike to tear apart and put back together to learn about bikes though! I think if that honda wasn't in such bad shape I'd be one more stuttering idiot taking their bike to the dealer. Ok, maybe not that bad, but it was nice to have a bike you can pick up and move!
