That's what I was thinking of doing (taking the Ferry). Boy, does that sound bad. It keeps you away from Chicago! BTW, Nice pic Darn

It saves a bunch of time, AND you miss the pleasure of Chicago traffic, smog and congestion. 525 miles vs 650, now that's a 1 day's ride, only bad part is the Fairy doesn't arrive in Ludington until 11am, that's a couple of hours of riding lost, but still very do-able.
The cost of the fairy is a little more than the cost of gas for 125 miles and the tolls, but the time and traffic you save is worth the difference. I should be riding 2 up so that will be even nicer!

The picture was a joke, Terri had me make a funny face (it was on purpose ) with my captains hat when I owned my boat. I thought you guys would get a kick out of it!

Hmmm, looks like just under 500 miles, one way, for me. Hey Stan, we could meet up in Greensboro, or Winston/Salem and ride on up through Mt. Airy. I've always liked the run up into WV.

Well Mr. Mayton, I would enjoy riding together to get to the 2010 M&G, but I live in Baltimore, MD. Just under 400 miles for me. I hope to see you there in Ohio.

Stay tuned fellow riders. I've been talking with Ironman and there are some really great rides in the planning stage for next year. Hopefully we can give more information around the end of this year, so save up some vacation days.

You all are going to love the roads around the area of the 2010 M&G!

Paul

Sorry Stan, got you mixed up with tsladden.

Not too many places to stay in that town. I found one more B&B (hardware store inn) or something like that. Do they have internet connections in that area?

We picked a weekene yet? The end of May is Memorial day which would give some of us a little longer to make the ride. We might even factor in the Rolling Thunder meet in DC.
