MCWW Baffles 5 Years, 1 Month ago
Hey Guys,

Here is the update on the mcww baffles. I just finished putting them in. It only took about twenty minutes. I started the bike at idle before I put them in, just to listen. I then installed the baffles into my HK 3" Big Straights, put the billet caps back on. I started her up, and unfortunately did not notice much of a difference. I wish I could get out on her right now and tell you how she sounds while riding her, but that is not going to happen for now. I will post here as soon as I take her out. Ride Safe.

Just took her put of the garage and down the road. It is a little quieter at idle, but still cracks when you open her up.

Post edited by: pman, at: 2007/04/02 17:35

Are you happy with the purchase of the MWCC Baffles? Was it worth the dough?

I too was looking into these BEFORE I purchase HKs and found a post on rsr that is quoted below.

Don't do it. I got sucked in and they don't do sh@#. I was also looking to tone things down just a little. It's a round metal tube about 12" long with a tab on one end and a pita to try to fit in...of course after its in they aren't giving a refund. They got me good on that one.

Hey guys,

The weather here has sucked all week. I have not had a chance to really ride her with the baffles in, but so far I am not too impressed for $69. I will post here after I get out on her, hopefully this weekend.

Here's a link to the UncleHerm mod listed on RSR - seems to have a lot of positive feedback, has anyone here tried this mod?

Hey guys,

I got out on her today with the new baffles installed, even though it was only 27 glorious degrees. Needless to say it was a short ride. I did notice a difference with the MCWW baffles installed. Though it was not a huge difference, the pipes were more quiet at idle then before, and while riding too. But when I got on the throttle, they roared. So I do not know if they were worth $69, but they will allow me to leave my HK's on, so they worked for me. I am by no means saying they would work for you, cause that is $69 less dollars of chrome for me. Ride Safe.
