Good to hear this wasn't worse for you. As others have said, the bike can be replaced....
Good luck with the repairs. Hope it's not too bad.

I'm just now getting all my replacement parts to rebuild my bike from a wreck.

If they total your bike be sure and see how much salvage buy back is, you might be pleasantly surprised.

E-mail me if you want some help rebuilding, I'm in Salisbury and might be close enough to come lend a hand and bring tools.

Glad your OK, I have a mesh jacket as well, and I wear it often, along with my full face helmet and leather gloves and riding boots. The jeans are the weak point, but if I ride for a while or on the highway I will have chaps on.

Can't help with the bike, but there are plenty on here who will be able to help.

little pricy, but offers alot of protection when wearing jeans

Different people ride for different reasons and ride different ways.

If you spend enough time on a bike you learn that nobody has a license on, 'Real Biker'.

Real Biker is an illusion and myth perpetrated by RUB's (Rich Urban Bikers) with personality disorders involving some kind of 'envy'.

Aw, man... First and foremost, I'm glad you're okay. Bumps, scrapes, and bruises heal. Pride heals. The bike can be repaired or replaced. It sounds FUBAR. As someone else recommended, I would check the salvage angle, first. Good luck, good healing, good wrenching.

You are a braver man than I. I was actually in SC when I went down, and they don't have a helmet law. Didn't matter to me 'cause I always wear one by choice, anyway, but I can't help but think that my little 30 mph wreck could have been a lot worse if I weren't wearing my helmet and my armored mesh jacket.

I don't feel great this morning, but I woke up in my own bed, rather than in the hospital. And my abrasions can be covered with normal band-aids (for the most part).

Best of luck to you!

Glad you are relatively ok Ajay.

BB's point about the turn stops is true. The insurance company will total the bike if it has broken turn stops.

I have purchased two Road Stars from salvage that had the type of damage you have, were highly repairable, but were salvaged because they had broken turn stops.

Frame builders can fix the turn stops. But they don't do it at low cost. If you have a broken turn stop you will be able to turn your bars in the direction of the broken turn stop and your triple tree or windshield hardware will make contact with your tank.
