Not sure. I commute daily and when the temp here got hot I changed to a skid lid and then noticed alot of squeaks and rattles I didn't hear with the larger helmet. They all seem to come and go with speed/ rev changes. I think I'd make sure everything is tight and just monitor it for awhile.

Do you have the chrome trim? If so you may want to check for loose screws..........

Ran into this last week. How I found it was take a rubber hammer and hit the tire. I found that the fender support strut was rattling against the fender. I took a 3" piece of windshield washer tubing, wrapped it in a couple of wraps of duct tape and stuffed it in the gap between the support strut and the fender. There's enough room to tuck it nicely out of sight. Problem solved.... or at least in my case it was.

As Flashback said, a common source of fender rattle is the chrome trim.... mine vibrated even with tight screws. Take them off and remount them with a little bit of that 3M silly putty they use to mount the emblems. Auto paint stores carry it. It's a great fix for other rattles too.

This is how mine is acting, I hit the tire and the rattle was there...I don't have any chrome trim...I'll pull the fender tomorrow...thanks, guys.

I didn't bother popping the fender off, I just stuffed the tubing in while the fender was on. It's probably easier to do it that way as you need something to hold the fender solid anyway.

Mine turned out to be the chrome trim. Haven't got around to fixing it yet... I was going to use a dab of silicone, didn't know about the 3M putty, I've always used the double sided tape. I'll check at the auto parts today!
