Brake Bleeding 2 Years, 9 Months ago
Simple question, should you bleed both front brakes at the same time or should you do them seperately. I just changed my brake lines and have the ability to hook a "T" adapter to my vacuum pump that would allow me to have both bleeder valves open and still under vacuum to pull fluid through. What or how does everyone else do it? Thanks

I'LL I HAVE EVER DONE IS BLEED ONE SIDE AT A TIME. BUT I DONT SEE HOW THERE WOULD BE A PROBLEM BLEEDING BOTH AT ONCE, AS LONG AS YOU KEEP THE MASTER FULL.
IF I AM WRONG ANYONE PLEASE CORRECT ME.

Roughrider lists speed bleeders in his description in Introductions. You could check with him.

I just did that job and i also had the vacuum tool, Almost worthless. When I changed the lines way too much air was in them, So I resorted to the files of the RSC and followed that advice, Ya know the over night thing? Then the force the fluid in and up with a injection tool... No go then also. I finally had to start at the top and crack the lines one by one and bleed it down that way. The fluid id not going to travel up from the T on the fork, so one at a time is ok.

If you stil don't get it, you can use the container and hoses that comes with the bleeding tool and get a longer line and run off the vacuum of a 1955 chevy Bel Air with a fire breathing 454 double 850 Holley carbs and a Edelbrock high riser, Set er up to about 2000 RPMs and you have enough vacuum to suck a 5 gallon Jerry can down to the size of a 3 Lb. maxwell house coffee can!

I found the easiest way for me was to emty most of the master cylinder and add new fluid. then open one at a time and bleed till clear fluid comes out. Just don't let the master get to low.

Or you can do the 100 yrd. vac line like MS1700 said

Yea that works good, I even suck MC dry before I add the new fluid to speed things up. But, when you change a line the air in the line keeps fluid from flowing and the air won't move. That's when ya have to crack the fittings until you get fluid. But yea,,, The 454 vacuum will do the trick just don't let the line get loose on ya or you'll have one heck of a sucker bite!
