Just wanted to say thanks for all the help, I finally got her running. Went through many of the ideas listed, turned out not to be electrical, and i wasn't ready to spend the money for a new TCI unit so i went through the carbs again paid close attention to the pilot jet, and discovered the lower inlet to the pilot had some crud in it. Freed that up, went through all the jets thoroughly again, and now she purrs like a kitten. Not bad for a 25 year old bike. Can't believe I went through the carbs so many times before getting it right. Next time i'll be more thorough from the start.
