Seat Got Slashed ... 2 Years, 9 Months ago

Does anyone know where I can get my Mustang seats recovered??? Maybe even reconstructed to include a pillow top now that I have to do this.

Woke up this morning to find my cover half way pulled up the bike in the pouring rain.

Same thing happened this past Tuesday when somebody took everything out of the sissy bar pouch and tank bra pocket when they only took some gum, about $2 in quarters, a pair of cheater reading glasses and a cigar hole punch in the form of a bullet with an old dog tag. Thank God I didn't have the saddlebags on. The neighbors bike cover was also pulled up, but he didn't have anything on it except for a couple of bungee cords on his sissy bar.

This time, I found both seats slashed and the American and MIA/POW flags burned and melted.

You need to invest in an alarm or security cameras.

Or park your butt outside one night with your gun in one hand and a flashlight in the other!

Well, a camera and alarm are on my list ... but, in the mean time, I plan on hooking up a 110 volt live wire to it.

In the 4+ years of owning this bike here, this is the first time anyone has actually had the testicular fortitude to mess with it. So, that staying up all night stuff may be an ongoing thing.

However, I'm of the opinion that a gun doesn't work in this instance. It's just not enough to take a life over. A Louisville slugger should be more than enough to teach a lesson and doesn't carry as much jail time.

Sorry about your bike Topgun....I cant stand thieves, child molesters or politicians...imo all the same.
I like Darns idea .....but obviously some sissy prosecutor and judge would rule in favor of the thief that you justifiably maimed or hopefully killed. And you would serve a longer sentence than the scumbag thief who has a long list of arrests and sure to continue being arrested.
Also the attorney and judge would see that you are a responsible hard working American and have income and that they could actually take from you.
I love our legal system.
Sorry for the rant but this strikes a nerve with me.

Sorry to hear about your predicament! Monday I'll call Mustang and see if they will do anything for you.

Clifford

I feel that if someone gives me a convincing enough story that they need the shirt off my back, I just might give it to them. On the other hand if they try to take the shirt off of my back I'll kill them!

go out to bass pro shops or gander mountain and get yourself one of the infrared flash camera traps for wildlife. uyou can hide the camera somewhere near and when the night vision camera takes the pic there is no visible flash or sound. then you can catch the punk that did this if he tries again.

Thank you, Clifford. I appreciate that.

However, please retract/change that last part because it IS considered a "terrorist threat" and carries a felony charge. Don't ask me how I know ...

As a Vet, I, too, was offended. And when I told the cop that wrote up the report that I considered it a 'hate' crime, he quickly responded,"No, it's not." And followed that with,"Who'd you piss off?" after giving me a top to bottom look over. But, to be fair, he did throw in that it was probably the punks up the street that they arrest on a frequent basis ...

Whoever did this is a real azzhole and should be taken out and have his seat cover slashed open.

As much as you'd like to, unless you're in a "stand your ground" state, swing the bat, but carry a backup piece just in case!
