OK, I was not looking for a Goldwing trike, honest, but I came across this listing on craigslist. It's an 04 Goldwing Trike for only $4600. I thought WOW, that's like almost $20K below what it should be, so I responded, turns out it' in Piedmont, SC. He even says he will take care of shipping. I'm not sure if this is a scam of some sort or not. I would like to know if anyone is near Piedmont, SC and could go verify it's a real thing?
Oh yeah, I forgot, he said it only has 985 miles on it.

Tell him you're in 'Wherever' SC and ask for his physical address so you can drive down and check it out.
That should give you a first cut whether it legit or not.

This is a copy of the email I got from him:
Hi,
I am selling this trike because my platoon has been sent back to Afghanistan and don't want it get old in my backyard. The price is low because I need to sell it before September 25. It has no damage, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects. It is in immaculate condition, meticulously maintained and hasn't been involved in any accident..I do have the title , clear, under my name.
It is still available for sale if interested, price as stated in the ad $4600. The trike is in Piedmont, SC and in case it gets sold I will take care of shipping. Let me know if you are interested, email back.

Sound fishy to any of you? I did email him and told him that I have a brother that's not too far away and would it be OK if he came by to see it? Lets see what he's response will be?

Wow! That was almost word for word from the add I found, how funny! I wonder if they will respond to my email? I guess when something seams too good to be true, it usually is.  Thanks, I will let you know if they respond, and what sort of BS excuse they will give me about why I can't see it first  |
