I have a set if the Samson Ripsaws...and thye are killer! I, like many others herre , have been around bikes a long long time and I have never found anything better than Samson. Not just for my roadie but I ended up with them on my Evo, shovel and ironhead as well. Im sure this is all just a matter of personal opinion BUT I have heard other pipes on R* and NOTHING sounds as mean and rumbles like the Ripsaws. I guess its all in what you are looking for and what you local law will let you get away with....the Ripsaws aint gonna let you sneak up on anyone. LOL

I had the Cobra Drag pipes (w/o baffles) and loved the sound. Went with Samson Big Gun Slashers and installed some aftermarket baffles and am really disappointed. Besides bluing below the shields and not giving off (IMO) a great sound (maybe they're too short or the baffle sucks - who knows), for a few sheckles more, I could've have a set of Bub Rineharts.

Now, I'm determined to try those Hard Krome 2 to 1 Sideburners after hearing a set at a bike run not too long ago. WOW! Just WOW! What a noise ... unlike anything I've heard on a bike. Almost funny car-ish at idle. I absolutely loved it. (That and a couple of V-Max' that zoomed by down the sidewalk too fast to see what they were sporting.)

edit: Back to a solo seat until my Mustangs are rebuilt/recovered.

Yeah baffels in Samson are pretty disappointing...definately should be run as straight pipes. I have yet to hear the 2 into one sideburners tho....would like to

Heres a set of Ripsaws on You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGR7pelz9r0

Didn't disappear......finished my work week, didn't have time for too much else. Thanks for all the replies........

I got the Cobra's off Ebay.........really good price and came with the headpipes. The Rolled Thunder pipes look a lot like the Hookers on my friend's bike (Harley Classic). Haven't been out much after "tweaking" the Cobra's. Going to have to see if I can find a way to record and post the Hookers, see what everyone else thinks. He did complain a little on our trip about riding behind me. We met up with another friend from Washington who has a Fatboy with some Screamin Eagle mods, not sure what pipes he had on, but off a rolling start in 2nd, blew his doors (handlebars maybe) off!!!!!!
