Re:Lowered with flip and grind 2 Years, 8 Months ago
Took her for a ride after tightening the belt. Still a little squeak and will fine tune the belt. One thing I noticed while going for my 1st ride after lowering is it felt more comfortable. I'm 6ft 1 and 195 so it didnt seem to affect the ride quality as far as I can tell but it did seem to improve handling. Maybe 1st impression though. But it did seem to put me in the sweet spot as far as riding position. Don't really do to much 2 up riding so bottoming out should not be an issue. Time will tell on that also. Right now I love the look it seems lowering really puts that rear tire right were it needs to be. The other things that I have done that I believed have improved riding this great bike are 1 inch of foam removed from bottom side of seat. Floorboards extended 3 inches. I think I've got this bad girl were I want her as far as riding. Performance is awesome with the things previous owner did with the Dyna 3000, 31 tooth front pulley and speed star 42 carb. Custom wheels and paint are next on the agenda. Also last tire change on rear was 160/80/16 Dunlop with Metzler 130/90/16 on front that is with out a doubt holding up much better that the 150 metz on the rear did.
