Buy it & upgrade it. Put the R* engine in the HD frame! Now there's a REAL upgrade! Uh oh. Was I ?

I don't like to trash other bikes,so I'll just say that I have owned a Sportster,Super Glide, and a Fat Boy and I would not own a Harley any more.unless someone gave me one.I'm all over the Harley thing "Been there done that". I love my Road Star and don't care about the brand
Hope you enjoy it

jrtu I agree with you 100% been there done that, The only reason I got the Roadstar was because I was looking for a new bike want to the local HD dealer found the bike I liked and asked if I could special order it the way I wanted and his response was if you don't want it the way it is someone else will with that I told him what he could do with his bake and so I got the Roadstar and been more then happy with it

I'd rather walk down the shoulder of the road carrying Roadstar handlebars than ride a Electra Glide.

Re:just rode a 1990 electra glide sport 2 Years, 8 Months ago
I have ridden MANY different bikes. From Bridgestone to Honda, Harley, Suzuki, Ural, and now Yamaha. My feelings are this: The Harley brand is legendary, but mine was too expensive to keep together. I also didn't care for the "cliques" inside that brand's own group i.e. bad*** biker's vs. the helmet wearing geeks, vs. the mid-life crisis owners.....too much drama!

Bridgestone was a blast....one of the first oil injected two strokes....but they haven't made them for many moons. Honda and Suzuki were well made, no complaints but there was something lacking in style....

Now I own two bikes, a Ural Tourist 2002, and my 2008 Roadie. The Tourist is a very unique ride, and I love to tinker with it (Which is almost constantly, because there is always a mechanical issue with these Russian bikes. I know that's technically brand bashing, but even the most die-hard Ural owner will admit that only a mechanic should own one!)

Hands down, by far, my new Road* is the most enjoyable motorcycle I have EVER owned. Yes, I do get the occasional snicker from some other motorcycle riders, but that's O.K. I am confident I will be riding much more than wrenching, and if it's important to you to own one brand then good for you. In fact, I now feel the same way about Yamaha.

Safe riding everybody..........

Knowing Kendal's work I find it hard to beleive you're Roadie would out run it, no offense to our Roadies it's just that Kendal builds a kick a-- engine. If you are really thinking about buying it I (seeing you're in Lexington also) would take it over to Terrel @ New Broklyn cycles and let him look at it and he will also tell you what it's worth in real money. New seat and you'll like the ride of the R* and a seat is cheaper than a new scooter. Just my 2c.
