Clifford,
I followed your suggestions from the PM you sent me.

On your last post on your thread about your turn signal problem, by putting power to the Dg wire at the switch you said that the right side signals came on. That proves that the wires and bulbs are good!
Put the jumper on the Y/R wire at the switch and turn the switch on for right turn. If the lights come on then the switch is good, if the lights don't come on then the switch is bad. If the switch is bad, end of search. If the switch is good then we are still looking!
At the plug for the signal relay find the pin for thr Y/R wire. Put the jumper to that pin, with the switch on for right turn the lights should come on. If they do that is fine; if they don't then there is a problem with the Y/R wire, probably the splice. If putting power to the Y/R wire at the relay plug lights things up then the relay is bad.

1) when I put the jumper on the Y/R wire (on top of the switch) with the switch on Right Turn there was no RT light
2) when I put the jumper to the Y/R wire at the relay there was no RT light

Should I assume the switch is bad based on what this shows? Should I expect the Y/R wire to activate the RT lights at the relay?

I still can't get passed the fact that the right turn lights work when I touch the contact inside the switch and that the left turn lights don't work when I touch that contact inside the switch but they function normally.

There is one wire input for the turn signal relay, and two output wires for left and right. (the relay is in two halves one half works the left and the other half works the right) If half of the relay is bad then in your case the left works and the right doesn't. (however, from what you just said I don't think that is the case) The switch is also in two halves; the left and right output wires from the relay are left and right input wires for the switch. Since you say that with the switch on for right turn and the jumper to the Y/R wire the right does not light that means that the switch is bad! Plug the harness back to the relay; put a jumper from the Y/R to the Dg across the switch; turn the key on and the right side should light up, and it should blink. If that is what happens then the right half of the switch is bad and you need a new switch.

I jumped the Y/R (on top of the switch) to the Dg (inside the switch) with the key on and the switch to Right Turn and no lights...
