Just my $.02 -- don't forget that most NEW tires installed are certainly gonna feel a lot better than your old one you've been riding the past 7000 miles.
:-DD.
Yes, that's usually true DD. In my case the original tyres were about the same from 0 to 11,000klms.

My R* never handled his good - from day one - as with the Metzlers. Bridgestones seem better going straight - I've seen others here describe Metz as riding on a rail. But I like their cornering capabilities.
I had same experience back in the day with my '78 Yamaha 650 Special. Completely different bike with Metzlers.

hmmmm, i just replaced metz 880's that didnt last for crap. 6000 mi. i'll give up some "sport bike" cornering for a more durable bridgestone...which i just did today. Plus the metz doesnt stop very well in my opinion. Kinda confirms what i was told by metz salesman...theyre designed for cornering and forward grip. said put em on backwards and theyll stop good ps...dont kill the messenger. just relaying the info.

After owning 27 bikes , and trying every brand tire under the sun , I can honestly say I really like the Bridgestones that came on my Roadie , bought Three sets , and the Bridgestones that come on the 'Liners , on my second set. I could shred in the mountains , and count on 'em in the pouring down rain. Doing most of my riding in the South East (BRP , Deals gap , etc...) I've never understood the pure disdain for their tires......perhaps it's the roads in the areas where some of you live. But Until I have reason not to like 'em , I'm gunna keep putting them under my girls. BB

In the 13 bikes I've owned I've had Conti's, Dunlops and 'stones, and never had a problem with them. The 'stones on my Roadie really haven't given me any problems cornering, riding straight and dealing with rain. I just keep 'em aired up and they seem to work fine. I may have a different opinion if I go with Metz's or Avons down the road....
