I'm 5'9" and 280# and the Ultimate seat is worth every dollar. It does push you a little forward and you need a day or two of riding to "fit into the seat" until the memory foam fits you. My first day using the Ultimate was 560 miles without any discomfort or pain, compared with the stock seat after a ride of 200 miles. The backrest helps as well and the quality is first rate.

Another vote for Ultimate. Most comfortable riding I've ever done. Worth every penny!  |

has anyone tried out a seat from ultima? demon's cycles sells them on ebay pretty cheap...

Yes - I have one on my bike right now. It's a GREAT seat, especially for the price ($114 for the leather version from DemonsCycle on eBay - click here). It sits you lower, a tiny bit more forward, and is actually pretty comfy. I used it on a 700-mile trip this summer, and another 500-mile trip. Yeah, my butt hurt after 200 miles when I needed to refill the gas anyway, but I think after 200 miles, ANY seat will start to make you a little sore.
The seat on my bike in my sig pic is the Ultima.
