Ultimate seat is great it does push you forward a little but it isn't uncomfortable. I love mine and the wife loves hers and the back rest is a life saver. Mind you they are a little on the expensive side.

Click on the little world symbol under my avitar and go to my picture site if you want to see close up picture of them. Mind you they cost me $810 but I think they were worth every penny and my boney little ass thanks me.

I'm with Curt, Jade68454. One of the best investments I've made.

great thread! Gonna get one of these sets next time my wife is having a weak moment and thinks I should spend another $800 on the bike.

Many of the folks here love the Ultimate, but there have been a few who didn't like it. Ultimate gives you 14 days to try it out, and if you don't like it you can return it for a full refund.

I bought a Mustang seat before I rode to stugis. The best money I ever spent. I did feel it moved me foward. (Boston Ma. to Sturgis 5300 miles total)

I'm 6'5" and way north of 300 lbs.I could not ride the stock seat for more then 50 miles with out arss pain.I now have the 4 piece Ultimate setup and can ride from tank to fillup pain free-best $'s I spent on my ride.

Re:Im needing a new seat 2 Years, 8 Months ago
I had my stock seat reworked by a local upholsterer to remove the stock "cup shape" and gave it a bit more of the contour of an Ultimate. Worked reasonably well and for small $, couldn't argue with it. I tried the Ultimate seat on a friends R* and it is better than the rework on mine, but not hugely. I'm saving my $$ for the Russell Day-Long seat. Not a pretty seat, but that is what the Iron Butt guys ride (or so I'm told).
