How do ya get to the shock absorber ? 2 Years, 8 Months ago  
I was trying to get to the shock on my bike today to check and see if it's tight. I couldn't find it, is it underneath the battery ?

you can find the adjustment under the bike between the rear wheel and the engine, you have to get on the ground and under the bike to get to it, or lift the bike...check the owners manual and it will show you how to adjust the preload. the shock is very easy to remove with the artcles here on the tech page.

Try a local search for service manual, it has some good pics in it......

Oh, its under there but it is not real easy to find or adjust. I have had mine in and out any number of times and it really hasn't gotten much easier to do or adjust. Good luck!
