I always ride with goggles, no exception, sunglasses never cut it when dealing with bugs. I have the tiny Yamaha Boulevard windshield and it doesn't do much for bugs except throw them at you! Busts the wind enough to knock the pressure off your chest and that's about it, really all I want though.

I've had a bumble bee about knock me off the bike before and lets not forget the gravel and so on. overall though its all survivable without too much scarring!

Oh! I almost forgot! Do any of you live in a rural area with cows in pastures? If you do then you know what a Dung Beetle is......For the rest of you the name is self explanitory. { they are packed full of IT]

Really interesting.... I went on a ride yesterday with the "Metric" bikes, and 1 HD. About 35 bikes total. I would say that 80% were wearing their helmets. Now the ride I was on the week before was 85 bikes and only about 6 Metric bikes, and it was more than the opposite, only about 6 or 7 riders with a helmet on. I wonder why that is?

I wore mine because I wanted to listen to the Packer game while running the twisties! BTW, Packers won!

Fl dragon flys will about take your head off i cought one in the face going about 70. got form my left cheek to my right eyebrow. love bugs are just nasty but they don't hurt that much.
