h-d chrome lowers questions 2 Years, 8 Months ago
|
|
hey guy's
stopped at a h-d shop over the weekend, looked at the chrome lowers
for the touring bike. do you have to drill new holes to install? already have the set-up with the silverado front end (to install oem yami lowers).
they did not line up with any of the bolt holes!!
thanks for the help!! (hate to drill some holes if they don't work out!!)

No you do not, You do not need to drill or modify anything. All that is needed is some nylon, rubber and metal washers it bolts right into one Windsheild bolt and is kinda off set on the other but once you install a larger washer and sandwich it in it never moved for 23K miles on mine. I went to a fairing at that point. Serch HD lowers and many threads with pics and instructions.

Ms1700 is correct...I have had an Hd chrome lower set on my bike for over a year and just mounted a set on my neighbors new Roadstar 3 weeks ago.

I've got a '99 and I bought the HD lowers for a '98 Ultra... had to cut the top bracket down and drill one hole.

The part # is 58121-85B.And no drilling holes, just need spacers for the top hole for each side to make up for the offset
