I do choke it to start but that is it.I do not know what the jetting is yet. Haven,t got the courage up to pull the carb. Now I do ride at slow speeds alot. Curt do ya remember my post about the baron slip ons. Well if so you will remember how I seemed to be running lean. ie backfire . I now have my pms at 3 turns out. I have a studder in the idle. I,m going to pull the carb. I hqave pro r hypercharger that came on the bike. If ya ask me its weird that It sounds like it is running lean but the plugs have always indicated running rich. The bike actually runs great just has these quirks. Thanks curt

Well that stutter as you are calling it is because you way to rich. The choke knob trim is just take a razor blade and trim off about a 1/16 of an inch off the back of the knob where it hits the rubber knob on the bracket. You need to see a gap between the knob and the rubber on the bracket to know it is all the way in. Think it time to bite the bullet and pull the carb and see what you got in it. You look like your heaed for a good case of SVS if you don't have it already.

You might want to run a shock treatment of sea foam too judging by the looks of those plugs. I agree with Curt you need to pull the carb

my bike had the pro r on it when I got it and had alot of carbon problems. when I pulled the carb I found a 205 main and the stock needle. I then got the barons bak and jetted with the barons kit. alot better...

I have discovered that there is a huge difference in what the plugs look like if you come to a normal stop and especiallly if you idle a bit before shutting down, compared to Going for a Good run at 65 or 70 mph ( or where you normally run when not going stop light to stoplight ) and while still at speed PULL THE CLUTCH AND HIT THE KILL SWITCH immediatly . Coast to a stop , let the Bike cool down , get out the tools and then have a look . You will get a very different and accurate picture of your state of tune , at least for the Needle and idle circut combination which you are running on at that speed . This is not my idea ....Ken Sextons I think but it works .

Yeah I am a little concerned about the svs myself.I just got home from work but am going to go out and do the trim on the choke knob. Anothr individual mentioned the 205 jet with the pro r . Cant I , if this is what is in there change it out to a 175 or 1705.5 minkuni. Once I get this all straightened out I,ll buy somemore Iridiums .
