Information I got off a web site is not to gap them. However if you need to close the gap just put the tip down on a solid table and push it down. To open is where the issue is, you don't want to put any pressure on the tiny electrode, they did show a tool that would pull the piece up by using a lever action on the body of the plug. And of course you need to be extra careful not to break the electrode tip when sliding the gauge in there to measure.

Service manual calls for gap .031 - .035 The NGK plug is gapped at .035....so you're good to go
