Before and after pix of my second Bike 2 Years, 8 Months ago
I posted awhile ago, that I was thinking of buying another bike, as a town/ in state ride.
Well I bought it. I bout a 2005 Pearl White 1100 Vstar ( with just 4125 miles on it ). I've been wrenching on her and turning her into a bagger like firemans bike, except white. I'll post before and after pictures..

I got my Batwing Fairing today, so as soon as they are painted I'll post it. Fireman, your ride inspired me!!!!

Before ( right side )

After ( added Kuryankyn Floor boards, Chrome side covers, Kuryakyn Hand Grips, 2.5 inch Roadburners )

Before Left side

After ( Lowered saddle bags appropriately to match heigth of new pipes )

Before Rear

After

Lookin good!! I can't wait to see what it looks like with the white batwing.. I am still amazed at the difference lowing the bags makes in the look of the bike. You are making her into a real head turner!

Thanks Paul, I agree. Lowering the bags make all the difference, especially when you put new pipes on...lowering it just centers the bags again...

looking good, if you want to know a quick and easy way to get that sticker off the tank, use a piece of duct tape and put it on the sticker, rub a few times and pull off. usually the sticker comes right off whole with no residue. also works great on those stickers they put on the windshields.

Rubber Duck, when I lowered my bags for the Roadstar I had to use spacers for the belt side. So you have to use it on the othe rside too. ( To keep the assemetry ) I think you only have to do that from 2003 and below. I have heard from 2004 and above you don't need spacers.

The bike I'm working on now doesn't have a belt so I have it close as possible. Kai

Just for your information, the lowering kit has been on my bike since 2003. I had pictures on how to lower roadstar bags in 2003 on another forum for Roadstars ( Roadstar Gallery now defunct ). Ask Geno, he finally e-mailed me and for some reason we came up with the same idea, except I had the idea in 2003.

Finally finished cleaning up the rear, removed the mustache signal turn and license plate holder and installed a lay down license plate and mini turn signals...
