Well I am happy to say that I just installed the axle on my Salma , and everything seems to work just fine , again a big big Thanks to TampaSVT and BigBear , you guys freaking rock !!

One issue though , I keep getting this squealing from my drive belt , but now it's on the front pulley too , what the heck ??

I will upload a small video I made so you guys could see what I am talking about

I am so proud to be part of this community , like I said before . . . I love you guys !!

p.s. I can not seem to get the video to be embedded so I am posting the link to it :

Loko:

I watched the video and here are a couple of suggestions.

1. Measuring the amount of play/tension on the belt really needs to be done with the bike down. Up in the air, it does look a bit tight. But, that's not where I check mine, so I don't know if that's too tight or not... You should only have 1/4" of turn with the bike's weight on it.

2. Those alignment marks are not accurate. With the bike off the ground, find an adjustment that allows it to track straight with no pulling to either side. Just spin the wheel. Once you've got it straight, mark it for yourself. Then, adjust each side the exact number of turns each until you find the sweet spot in regards to belt tension. Then lock it in.

Some of the guys may do it differently, but that's what works for me.

I'm glad I was able to help you with the axle.

Loko something I have noticed is that your adjuster for the right side of the bike is not right! I watched your video and it looks like the belt is tracking to the right which means your wheel is slightly cocked. Your belt tension should be checked on the bottom part of the belt near the ground. Push it up toward the seat of the bike you should have around 1/2" play in the belt. Second you need to start over loosen your belt put the adjuster on like the one in this picture and then adjust your tensioners equally on each side. There is a line to go by. Start with them even on each side then make 1 turn on the right and then one turn on the left. Do this till you have your belt adjusted to have 1/2" up play in the belt. Then check your tracking again. If the belt is still wanting to run to the inside of the front pulley then you need to loosen the right adjuster by one turn and then tighten the left adjuster by one turn. Then spin the wheel again several revolutions to see how it's tracking. You may need to loosen the right a second time and tighten the left.

Sorry I have not replied . . . but something was wrong with my PC

Anywho . . . dudes I just don't know what to do anymore , I have try to follow all of the tips and tricks that all of you have given me (hardone2get I have not yet done what you said , I still got your number can I give you a call ??) and my drive belt still squeaks !!

This is driving me freakin insane , I got up today , and when on my way to work I noticed that the squeaking had increased , then went I got to my job the squeaking was gone !!

I went back home all happy and at about 3 miles from home I started to hear the squeaking sound (yes I am sure it was not there before) what the heck is going on ??

Is it possible that my drive belt is faulty and that is why no matter what I do it keeps on moving to the right side (on both the front and rear pulley) ??

Guys I am really just a squeak away of loosing it !! it is so freaking irritating , what the heck could it be ??

The hash marks are usually not accurate for aligning the rear wheel. Better to measure from the center of the swingarm bolt to center of axle, should get the same measurement on both sides. And remember to loosen the bolt on the rear brake stay when you align the wheel or the wheel won't move.

Loko, I go through this all the time. You'll just need to keep on fine tuning your adjustment screws. I feel your pain though brother. That squeeking will drive you insane! Keep working with your adjusters and after the 150th adjustment it will be right. Just be glad you don't have aftermarket pulley's like I do. Makes it that much harder!
