Dave J, Only my left side turns. Do you want to trade lamps? This way we will both have a matched set.

I ended up putting a toothed washer in between the housing and the mount. Even with locktight, it would still swing around. You just got to disconnect the wires going to the lamp in order to get the washer in place.

Oh, only the left one in case anyone's keeping count.

Mine does the same thing. Where did you get the washer and what size was it?

I have one that likes to wander 90 degrees to the side...it's the left one if you're standing in front of the bike, but the right one if you're ON the bike. You decide.

OK, I thought I was the only one with these issues and I thought it was because I replaces both sides, one at at time after dropping the bike or it falling in the driveway. (yeah, I know what your thinking).

What I did to keep the lens from turning was I put a little clear RTV on the rubber ring before putting the lens back in. The rotation of the light was stopped when I put Teflon tape on on the threads and tightened it down good. Now I'm just trying to get the dam things level with each other.

Not so sure how they mount, but can you get a star washer under there? I've also had luck using black RTV on my Chopper mirrors. It stays tacky and is great for keeping screws from turning under vibration.

That's what I used. I tried the loctite, but that alone would not keep the housing from moving back and forth. (My buddies did get a kick out of it for a while.)

Just disconnect the wires from the back of the lamp and you should be able to put one in between the housing and the mount.

Been steady ever since.
