Just had the recall don a few weeks back and experianced the same thing with the oil residue. After picking it up and a 30 mile trip home there was oil everywhere, dripping of the fins of the heads and all over the block and everything from the engine back had a film of oil all over it. I thought OH CRAP, what did they screw up. I power washed the bike good and dried it, squeeky clean. I road it around the block and checked it over again. everything looked good except for an oil leak at the front where the chrome oil pipe to the heads connects to the block. I checked the bolt and it was tight so I suspected it was the copper seals. I took it back to the dealer and they replaced the seals and all is good and dry now. I think most of the oil mess was due to the dealer not cleaning off the engine after the teardown and running down the road 60-70mph and a hot engine probably thinned the oil residue left on the engine and it got blown all around everything. The bike looked clean when I picked it up but clean oil isn't real visable on these silvery engines. Wash it down real good then check it over after a run. Simple Green works excellent for de-greasing.
