wheel questions 2 Years, 7 Months ago
I have a nice 21 inch harley wheel that is not laced right, hub not centered. I found chrome roadstar front hub on ebay for $75. Can I use the yamaha hub and lace it to the HD wheel? Anyone done this or know about it? I have a guy who works at HD who can lace wheels but he doesn't know for sure.

I would think it could be done as long as there are the same amount of spoke holes on both the rim and hub.

that is what I thought. I was going to take the hd wheel count the holes in the hub and do the same to the yamaha.

nope won't work. Put both wheels side by side and the Yamaha wheel has twice as many spokes as the hd 21 inch. just wanted to let you know.

I can still use the wheel if I find a machined axel. There was a guy on the roadstar project that offered me one for $85 including spacers put her passed away before I purchased it.
