I say go with the 21 if your gona change from stock. I would love to do it, but it seems that rims made for the RS are crazy expensive and a HD rim conversion seems to be a hug pain in the...

Hope I'm wrong. Has anyone figured an easy way to get a HD rim to work on the RS.

Here is a guy that can set you up to use a HD wheel. He took over after Loonie (RIP) passed away.

By the way Fireman, I don't know if I've said it before, but you've got one awesome looking RS. Post some pics now that you got the tricky air setup on it.

i dit it. it is doable. depends on what your definition of PITA is. as Paul said, Don has taken over for Looney for getting axles and such.

you need custom axle, axle spacers, rotor spacers. if you don't take accurate measurements your crap wont line up right though. I bought a large outside caliper just to make sure my crap was lined up right after i found that the stuff i was sent wasn't quite right. i had to turn the axle spacer looney sent me, and the rotor spacers werent quite right, so i had to shim my brake calipers out.

so it was a little bit of a PITA, but it was a fun project, and I am happy with it.

I remember see a few fustrated sounding post on here from you concerning this project. Sounded like a PITA to me. Do you have any pics of the finished product.

Kinda late but if you haven't made a move a doing mods... I had a 21 x 3.25 front wheel and 90/90/21 Metzler tire. There is less than a 1/4 inch of space but there is no rubbing at all. Just ordered a 21 x 3.50 front wheel and now I have problems. oh well.
