My bike has had 2 Yami light bars break, so I made my own brackets from 2" X4" 6061T6 Extrusion 1/4" thick. I will not have another crack, unless it is associated with impact!

The issue I see with the factory setup is the prep work on the parts. The vendor that builds them does not de-burr bolt holes, and they do not clean all of the manufacturing residue, oil or oxidation, off the stock before welding and chroming, so corrosion in the edge of the weld joint on the flat stock causes a fracture. I also had the switch break off during a ride.

I have also changed a windshield mount that had the same issue at the bottom attach point, where the bosses are welded to the flat stock.

Accessory QC apparently sux.

I'll make my own. At least when mine breaks, I know who to slap!

Good luck with the Yami bar.
