Fuel Tank Capacity 2 Years, 7 Months ago
Went and filled up the Roadie today and was shocked. The light had been on for awhile but I figured I would run out the main tank. I didn,t and when I filled up I put 4.4 gal of gas in there. Usually I put maybe 3 or 3.5 in there. Man I wander if the reserve was seeping by for some reason. Supposidly these scoots only hold about 4.75 gal. hhhmmmm makes me think I,ll just hit the station when the light comes on.

The reserve isn't a separate part of the tank. when you flip over to reserve, You are pulling fuel through a tube that has a screen that goes closer to the bottom of the tank. You were just about to run out of gas where you would of had to flip to reserve. The manual states reserve holds .9 gal. So, at 4.4 gals for fill up, you were right there.

There's 2 reeds sticking up out of the fuel cock on most bikes, the lower one is reserve, and the taller one is main. When you flip to reserve, it just pulls in lower, below where the tall one cuts off. I believe it's the same principal with these.
