Went to the Dry Cleaners and my mechanics today 2 Years, 7 Months ago
It was a nice afternoon, clear, sunny, 65F, and there's cold and rain in the next 6 days in the forcast. I needed to stop by the dry cleaners to have a pair of pants hemmed, and my mechanic to shoot the .... for a bit. So, I went out, in the most direct route possible, to get to the cleaners and to the shop, and back home. I can't figure out how to get it to post a picture without it being resized though...

Yep, that's the only route that I can see that would get you to where you were going.

My question is on such a nice day why in the world would you take the short cut?

It was a nice ride, lots of hills, twists, turns, nice scenery. However I had my kids getting home from school, and had to be home for that, as they're only 6 and 7. I actually was racing home the last stretch and followed the bus down the street to get there just in time. I saw the bus wizz by my buddy's shop, so it was time to hop on the bike and beat him there. Luckily, the bus takes a lot of turns and such, so I had time to make the ride 1/4 mile home a little longer than it needed to be. My dry cleaner is a little old black lady that weighs about 80lb, and is about 4'10" tall, and rides a late 70's shovelhead. So she has all sorts of neat biker gear at her store, but glared at my metric bike... It's nice though, she has tons of cool stuff and knows what she's talking about.
